Compeed’s hydrocolloid technology is an active gel containing particles that absorb excess fluid and form a reinforced cushion which redistributes pressure away from the blister to provide instant pain relief. Compeed has a tapered edge that gently conforms to the contours of the skin. This reduces friction and ensures that the healing process is not disrupted by painful chafing. It does not come off; the plaster stays in place, protecting the blister. Adhesion may vary from case to case – published study comp-bli-01.
