Antihistamine medicine indicated to relieve the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny and itchy nose, irritation and itching of the eyes or tearing. Its advantage is that it does not make you sleepy. Contains 12 tablets.
Who can take Telfast 120 mg
Telfast 120 mg can be taken by adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.
How to take Telfast 120 mg, 15 film-coated tablets
The recommended dose of Telfast 120 mg is 1 tablet a day, preferably in the morning at breakfast. For adolescents from 12 years of age and the elderly, no readjustment of dosage is required, the dose remains the same. No dosage adjustment is required in hepatic or renal insufficiency.
Contraindications
Telfast should not be used if you are hypersensitive to fexofenadine or to any component of the medicine. There may be cross-reactions with other antihistamines, so it is not recommended in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to any compound of the group.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not all people suffer from them and they may be:
- Frequent: headache, drowsiness, dizziness or nausea.
- Infrequent: tiredness
- Other side effects of unknown frequency: insomnia, sleep disturbances, nightmares, nervousness, irregular heartbeat, diarrhoea, skin rash or hives, severe allergic reactions, blurred vision.
Precautions
Pay special attention and consult your doctor before using Telfast if you suffer from cardiac arrhythmia as it may alter the heart rhythm or if you suffer from kidney or liver failure, as its efficacy and safety have not been evaluated.
